Thanksgiving
“Gratitude is the Memory of the Heart”
- Jean Baptiste Massieu
Thanksgiving is always a time to count blessings. Counting blessings happens often for me, usually daily. Yes, the world is crazy, and yes, things break down and challenge us in so many ways…but there is always a flip side. There are always things to be grateful for and beauty to savor.
To my family
To my friends
To my tribe
My life would feel empty without you.
Deep gratitude.
To those who check in at this site.
Thank you.
"We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures."- Thornton Wilder
Wishing you peace, love, joy, many blessings, and a Happy Thanksgiving.
Gratitude is a state of grace and so many little things ...
The comfort of a pillow to rest your head.
Friends to share your joy.
The smile of a child.
The stars at night.
The song of a bird.
The smell of fresh, baked bread.
Your morning cup of coffee or tea.
The sound of the ocean.
Holding hands.
Looking into the eyes of your love.
The feel of the Earth under your feet.
Gratitude is the whisper of your name by loved ones on the other side.
It's an answered prayer.
The sunrise and sunset.
A comfortable sweater and a cozy blanket on a crisp, autumn evening.
It's popcorn and a movie.
A good book to read on a rainy, lazy day.
It's is a Sunday with no plans.
It's the smell of a new bar of lemon verbena soap.
Gratitude is a picture that brings back memories.
It's a card game with cousins.
A penny on the sidewalk.
Sparkly fingernails and peppermint white chocolate.
It's the smell of the changing seasons.
It's swimming in a lake on a hot summer's day.
It's crunching in winter snow and kicking fall leaves.
Gratitude is holding a newborn baby.
It's a warm hug on a cold day.
Gratitude is surviving a health scare.
It's timely words of comfort and laughing until you cry.
Life isn't easy, but it has its moments and for that, may we be grateful every day.
Fill your moments with the music of happiness and let gratitude be your go-to song.
